As Cliniko creates an open invoice in Xero when a client’s credit is used to pay for the appointment, an option to purchase and then pay for an appointment using a package is required. The use of pre-paid package/class pass allows for accurate accounting and record-keeping of paid appointments. Xero can report payment and Cliniko does what it does best to keep life simple with the option to mark appointments paid via a package rather than creating an invoice.
I have taken a serious look at alternatives to Cliniko to overcome this. I have also looked through Cliniko community and seen similar issues and no one has found an easy workaround.
