Within the data exports page, you’ll see a new meny called File format. The default format will be plain old “CSV” (which is what all data exports have been since the beginning of time!), but there’s a new option called “Excel-friendly CSV”:
There’s no major difference between the two, but the “Excel-friendly CSV” will be handy if you’re exporting a spreadsheet that has some really long pieces of information in one cell (like a really long patient reference number, or something). If you tried to load a “regular” CSV data export into Excel and it had some super-duper long strings of information in one cell, it looked really funky. The new Excel-friendly option basically just ensures that those long bits of information display correctly when you open the file in Excel!
