Multiple email addresses

Hi Cliniko,
I’d really like to see multiple email address options for people with split families and need to keep both parties aware of appointments (including reminders) and/or invoices. Currently there is only space for one email, or the option to direct invoices to a different location?

I agree, I had to resort to set up two different appointments instead of just entering two email addresses in the same appointment. It seems to be an easy fix to just be able to add more than one email address!!

This is what we did too. It makes it difficult to count appointments though - if we schedule multiple appointments at the same time.

We work with neuro-rehab clients and as such often require multiple agencies that we have to send email invoices too. Multiple addresses (or at least the client and x2 other emails address options) would be ideal. I appreciate a good work around is to use a PDF from a work email address, however it feels somewhat of a long way around, not least at drafting a covering email response to send with the attachment.
Maybe we’re very much the minority, but it would be helpful to hear of others that would hope this may change. :slightly_smiling_face:

I agree, this would be a great feature to have - for us it would be useful for minors when both parents wish to receive either the invoice, or the appointment reminder - or sometimes the minor themselves + 1 or 2 parents. Also for workers compensation claims quite often there are multiple parties that require the invoices and/or updates sent to them so it would be good to be able to either add additional email addresses, or additional contacts/referrers to send correspondence to :slight_smile:

Agree!!! I work with people with intellectual disabilities so if the person is using an advocate, they need to be reminded of the appointment to. Please add this feature sooner than later!!!

I agree this would be a great feature, particularly for families who need to receive information at more than one address.

Thanks everyone above for weighing in here! I agree that this would be a very useful feature.

We’d love to build this, but for the meantime we do only have the ability to have a single email address in our email fields. A workaround we often suggest is to have the person who’s address you do have input to set up an automatic forwarding rule in their inbox, so that emails from notifications@cliniko.com are automatically passed on to the other party/parties.

This won’t be applicable to all scenarios mentioned above, but in the case of two parents of a minor, this action can be taken to forward Cliniko’s emails on to multiple other email addresses.

I was just about to ask to have additional email fields added to a contact, but I see this has sort of been asked for back in 2017.

Our need is less complex - simply, a number of our contacts have multiple emails, and to try and keep one contact database we need this ability (just like multiple phone numbers).

On the surface, this appears to be such a simple request - why can’t this be delivered?

I think it is best not to ask the clients to do the work. In the case of minors, we generally can’t reply on the fact that parents are amicable or willing to share information.

Another request for multiple email addresses - we require this feature also.

I agree with the reasons stated by other posters, it would also be handy for Australia where NDIS plan managers, support coordinators and participants/participant’s caregivers can sometimes all request invoices.
